R. Roger Drechsler is a lifelong resident of Maryland and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ursinus College. He received his legal training at the University of Maryland Law School and was admitted to the Maryland Bar.
For six years, Mr. Drechsler was house counsel and then resident attorney for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company litigating and supervising the litigation of state and federal workers' compensation cases and supervising automobile, public liability and admiralty actions. Mr. Drechsler handled appellate work in both compensation and liability matters. Thereafter, he entered private practice and now concentrates in workers' compensation claims, personal injury, and insurance law.
In April, 1999, Mr. Drechsler formed and became a partner at Drechsler, Larkin & Walters, P.C. Mr. Drechsler has more than forty years of experience before the Workers' Compensation Commission. He also has extensive experience in the field of admiralty law, personal injury, and insurance law. He has briefed and argued some 60 cases before the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland and the Court of Appeals of Maryland. In 1993, Mr. Drechsler co-authored a chapter entitled Maryland Workers’ Compensation Law and Unemployment Insurance in a two-volume book titled Legal Guide to Independent Contractor Status. He also taught workers' compensation law for many years at Mt. Vernon Law School.
