Derek A. Bayne received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Environmental Studies from Washington College in 2004 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore in 2010. He was admitted to the bar of the State of Maryland in 2010 and admitted to the Bar of the United States District for the District of Maryland in 2012. Mr. Bayne joined the firm of Drechsler, Larkin & Walters, P.C. as a law clerk in 2008 and became an associate in the firm in 2010. His areas of concentration are civil and commercial litigation, including motor tort, premises liability, products liability, and environmental claims. The complexity of these cases range from minor soft tissue injury/property damage to complex multi-system injuries with permanent disability. Mr. Bayne is the author of a scholarly journal article, Bioregionalism and Environmental Regulation: A Policy Consideration for Future Environmental Reforms, 17 U. Balt. J. Envtl. L. 1 (2009). Mr. Bayne has also appeared on brief and argued cases in the Court of Special Appeals. Mr. Bayne is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Defense Counsel, and the Bar Association of Baltimore City.
